2010
How can we give back with what God has blessed us with ?
We were introduced to our first family, the Kiptangwanyi family--a family of four children under the care of their grandmother and auntie after their parents passed away.
2011
Our second family
We were introduced to our second family. When we went to visit the family, Mama Wambui explained their struggles and stated that after losing her husband life was never the same.
2013
Our Third Family
We met our third family in Ol Karao, in 2013 after their mother passed away in 2010 and their father abandoned them a year later. Four children were left in the care of their grandmother and support from auntie.
2017
It's official!
Mercy’s Smile became a 501c organization
2018
The Elizabeth Family
we visited the family after we received a distress call from the eldest son informing us that his mother needed help. We quickly rushed her to the nearby hospital where she was treated.
2020
New Direction for the Organization
Education and empowerment focused and supported by food and healthcare as needed.
2021
Education Scholarship Introduced
Started with 6 students and have since added 7 more students to the program
Current Day
Currently have 13 scholarship students and are targeting to add new empowerment families.
